An enlightening study published in “Cancer” evaluated the difference between initial and second-opinion interpretations of 283 cases, mainly brain or spine MRIs (https://acsjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cncr.30083). Astoundingly, among 55 cases with differing reports, 87% were MRI examinations! The impact of these discrepancies could have significantly affected patient management and disease staging. Hence, this course aims to strengthen proficiency in brain MRI interpretation, a crucial competency for those involved in neuroimaging, ultimately enhancing patient care and reducing error rates.
